- Which is better oneway or reciprocal links?
- Theirs no clear cut answer to this because everyone has a different opinion and that's basically all it is right now, opinion. Because the search engines don't release exactly how they weight the links, not to mention their are different search engines that each have their own weight algorithms. Some believe 1 strong oneway link is better than 10 reciprocals, others disagree, it's up to your preference to decide which group you fall into.
- How many backlinks will I recieve?
- The number of backlinks will be constantly increasing as new members join, our automated headend will automatically make sure that your getting the types of links you signed up your site for. The exact amount of backlinked sites can be seen by logging into your account, after your site is verified to be backlinking you will be able to see the amount of sites as well as the links to each of their backlink pages so you can verify for yourself if you wish.
- Will the service remain free?
- Our service was designed from day 1 to be 100% free, this is a service that we believe everyone should be able to take part in.
- Remember we do offer a paid service for the people that want 100% oneway backlinks, that is not free, but the main service plan that most people will use is and will remain free.
- How is the system managed to make sure people aren't cheating (not backlinking)?
- Our system automatically checks each site to make sure that their site is spiderable as well as our page is active and being displayed properly. If their site neglects or trys to get around backlinking to the sites they are supposed to their site is disabled from the system and they will loose all of their incoming backlinks until the issue is corrected.
- In addition to the automated checks we also do manual spot checks of random sites to make sure that everything is setup properly and no one is attempting to cheat, if they are they are disabled as well.
- Will the system remain open to new site signups?
- The short answer is no, we have set limits for our service, but we don't forsee reaching them anytime in the near future so it's not something that you need to worry about if you have future sites you plan on adding.
- However, if your thinking of signing up as a paid subscriber to our network than yes, their is a set limit, this is to maintain that the network is fair and optimized.
- How much does the paid subscription cost?
- The price of the paid subscription is variable per month, it depends on the amount of users in the system at the time of subscribing to the paid system. So joining and paying when the system is small and new will be cheaper than if you wait untill we have 5000 sites. Not to mention if you wait besides the price going up, we only have a limited amount of featured spots as we said above.
- Is this legal or is it some form of blackhat that i will get banned from search engines for?
- No our service is more white/gray hat than anything else, link building is a genuine practice in every SEO plan. Our system just automates it for you, and to insure that our network remains clean we continually monitor the network for sites that might be sandboxed or banned from search engines and we disable their backlink engine. This way they won't have a negative effect on our network.
- I'm part of another link exchange network is it ok to join this one as well?
- Of course it is, the more backlinks you can generate for your site the better, while we might not think the other networks are quite as well designed they can easily be beneficial. So go ahead join our network and others, as long as each network has it's own seperate backlink page/script then it shouldn't be an issue. If 2 networks have some of the same sites, it's no issue, it'll just look like your recieving a text link from 2 pages of their site instead of one :)
- Is backlinktrader a linkfarm?
- NO! Our site is completely user driven, all of the sites that are backlinking are members that joined on their own merit, they are not run or controlled by our team and they will reside on different ip addresses than our network.
- What is the link text and why are their 3 of them?
- The link text is the text that will be used for your backlink on other pages, search engines use this when they are calculating your relevancy to a subject, so if you have many sites linking you with the link text "happy dogs" then the chances are when a person searches for "happy dogs" your site will be more relevent for that search and rank higher. We offer and require 3 link texts so that we can give you some variety of keywords, the sites that backlink to you are assigned a keyword to backlink toy you with randomly so that you get a variety of links to your site and more chance of search engine relevence.
